Local or Co-located Server Installation

SmarterTrack can be installed onto a local or co-located server using the download file named "Full Installer." The use of your own server will not restrict the editions, levels, or performance of SmarterTrack. When using this method, SmarterTools strongly recommends the use of Internet Information Server (IIS). SmarterTrack installs SQL Server Express. Installations requiring more robust databases should use full versions of SQL Server or MySQL.

Shared Hosting Installation

SmarterTrack can be installed on Shared Hosting accounts at thousands of Web Hosting companies around the world that provide Windows Hosting by using the download file named "Files for Shared Hosting." Installation of SmarterTrack may have an impact on the editions, levels, or performance of SmarterTrack as the Web Hosting Provider may limit system resources. Organizations looking to use a shared hosting environment must find one that supports SQL Server or MySQL.
